Earlier on in my career, I primarily covered a features beat. Since then, I've covered hard news, community government and crime. My bylines span from Columbia Chronicle, NBC New York and NBC Chicago to Sun-Times Media and the Franklin Favorite. I also have experience building media kits, ghost writing and creating e-books on a contract basis. To connect or see more examples, visit my CONTACT page.

Looking through the lens and capturing a photo is more than an aspect of my job as a journalist, it's also a hobby. I have experience shooting music and art festivals, sporting events, political gatherings, fundraisers, gallery receptions and images for marketing promotion materials.

Watching the studio light brighten to signal an on-air presence is an exciting experience. I am fortunate to have a newspaper and radio station as an office. I started nearly six years ago learning to record commercials and liners. Overtime, I began airing interviews with politicians like Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, Congressman James Comer, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and current Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
I've also interviewed musicians Charlie Daniels, Carlene Carter, and American Idol Season 9 Finalist Casey James. In 2018, I had the opportunity to co-host my own talk show radio program, the "Megs & Talley Show" alongside then WFKN Radio Sales Director Brian Talley. Through the process, I learned about programming, the script writing and interviewing process, live remotes, on-air timing and cues and how to build and brand a show.
Digital Media
On June 19, 2020 I guest moderated a LOST celebrity virtual panel for Wizard World with actors Emilie De Ravin (Claire Littleton) and Jorge Garcia (Hurley "Hugo" Rayes).
